
The story of Wendy’s, the California chain that began life as a dry cleaners, has been about to go down in flames.
On Thursday, the world’s largest burger chain announced that its CEO, Michael Sacks, had been fired and replaced by Michael P. Pomeranz, the founder of the gay-friendly company.
Wendy’s also confirmed that Pomerantz was the new CEO of the company.
Pomeranz is the second chief executive to step down from Wendy’s after the company hired an outside consultant, Gary Taub, to look into allegations that Ponderanz and others had sexually harassed and assaulted employees.
Pomerantz had previously apologized to employees and said he had learned from his mistakes.
Ponderanz, who joined Wendy’s in 2009, has worked at the chain for eight years.
