“It’s going to help my confidence and help my self-confidence.
I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to show people what I’m capable of and show them how I can really make a difference.”
Watson, 24, is the reigning Australian women’s champion at the world championships, having competed in the 200 metres twice before winning the 200m individual medley at the Olympics in Rio in 2016.
After the 2016 Rio Olympics, Watson said she felt confident and had a better understanding of herself and her body.
“I knew I was pretty good,” Watson said.
“Being the first to do it, I was really lucky.”

Emphases in the video are also highlighted, including the words: “This is a great opportunity to inspire others to feel the way I do, and to celebrate being a strong, confident woman”.
“You don’t need to be super confident, just be yourself,” she added.
“Just be yourself and have fun.”
Emma also has a tattoo of her favourite band, Lady Gaga, which is also featured in the ad.
“You can feel how happy I am for my body,” Watson added.
“I know I look amazing and I’m so proud of myself, so that’s something to be proud of.”
Wearing a matching bikini top, the first-time Olympic swimmer has been showing off the bikini for more than three weeks.
“My body is super flexible,” Watson explained.
“The more time I spend in the water, the more it relaxes.
It’s just a great feeling.”
Walking through the gym at the University of Queensland, Watson was also encouraged by the amount of people who have shared their experiences with her.
“There’s just so many different people in the gym, so you get to be on your own,” Watson, who was also a member of the University Club of Queensland’s team at the 2016 world championships said.
The video was shot by Australian model/photographer Sarah Glynn and has been viewed over 4 million times on the popular Instagram account.
Watson has been working out with her friend, former Olympic sprinter Katie Ledecky, at the Brisbane Fitness Centre.
