Darla Moore, the star of the new documentary about the lives of famous people, is a big fan of the Oscars.
But she said she’d rather not attend if the movie was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, or Best Actress.
“I think the people who have nominated me are not very well-informed,” Moore said in an interview Thursday at a press event for the film, which was shot in New York and includes interviews with stars including Lena Dunham, Ellen DeGeneres, Lena Dunham and Sarah Jessica Parker.
Moore was nominated in four categories in the documentary’s first two days, but she said “the fact that I’m nominated in the Best Picture category is a little bit shocking.
It’s a shame, but that’s the reality of it.
Moore won Best Actress in 2016 for her portrayal of Jane Austen in The Great Gatsby.”
If I win, I’d like to go to the Oscars for a really good reason.”
