Darl’s career has been rocky over the years.
In 2014, she was accused of sexual assault and was fired from her job as a teacher.
Her lawyer, Robert Barnett, said the allegations were false and that the allegations are a “distraction” from Preston’s career.

In June 2020, the NCAA and the National Football League announced Darba Leigh Preston would be placed on probation for a year, and her name will be permanently removed from the NCAA’s all-time list of all- time bowl winners.
